vitamin d

This little family has been taking advantage of the warm temps (well, it has been warm most days…) to get some free vitamin D! Here are some of our activities of late:

Zoo x 2

We visited the zoo twice in March… within one week! First, we kicked-off my Dad’s 60th birthday celebration with a trip to the zoo. How great is it that you can have a zoo party when you are 60?! Then, we had the opportunity to visit a second time with Jason’s family, some in- and some out-of-town. We are putting that zoo pass to good use already.

Gardening Extravaganza

It took a lot of work, but the church and house are now weeded and mulched! If you have been here recently, you probably understand the weight of that statement. Thankfully, we had lots of help with the church yard last Saturday. We have been working throughout the week on the parsonage… all three of us! Elliot has eaten a few globs of dirt, played with a worm (ripped it in half, unfortunately for the worm), and enjoyed many sticks and rocks. Despite the ridiculous quantity and size of the weeds, I waged a great battle and came out on top except for what seems to be a minor case of poison ivy.

Hangin’ around

Jason received a hammock for his birthday and has had fun trying it out already. Grandpa and Elliot spent some time ‘hangin out’ together. We are excited to get it up again on the next warm afternoon.
